Breaking Noos: Who's Next For Russell Brand's Boudoir?

Celebrated comedian, television presenter and self confessed ‘S&M Willy Wonka’– Russell Brand is selling his Hampstead home. This will no doubt further fuel rumours surrounding a pending engagement to 'kissed a girl' singer Katy Perry. Chateau Brand is a louche modern gothic affair rather like it’s owner. Spread over 2000sq ft and five floors it has the sooperstar vibe of someone who has worked an interior designer hard to give such ‘visual drama’. A striking double reception room on the ground floor comes in mod-Victorian style with black and silver flock wallpaper spreading in every direction meshing with a golden carpet, diamante studded antlers and a big plasma. Brand once confided to the Times “I am slightly intimidated by that room. I tend not to go in there much. You shouldn’t have a room you’re intimidated by.”



Upstairs is equally impressive if less intimidating ….. Brand’s pile actually sports an amazing zen Yoga room on the second floor - Magic! You don’t often see those outside Hollywood or W11…..and that would mean no more trekking down to Virgin Active in the pouring rain …. Further up the stairs the very top floor contains that celebrity essential of .... a ‘media room’ perfect for knocking back the Champagne (non-alcoholic these days….) and watching oneself being disgraced in front of the nation.

However, of particular note of course is the stunning master bedroom (pic at top of post) which leads to an exquisite and very luxurious en suite bathroom. If legend is to be believed this boudoir has seen more action than a Jean-Claude Van Damme Christmas box set ….. soft furnishings, heavy drapes and primped,plumped cushions give a truly decadent feel. Presumably all highly conducive to Mister B’s celebrated ‘lothario love ins’.



Down in the basement is the kitchen come dining room. There are more fireplaces from Chesney’s, a Maytag fridge an espresso-maker, curved kitchen units and more designer wallpaper. Marvelous and perfect for entertaining celebrity neighbours such as Ricky Gervais, David Walliams and all those other North London peeps! This impressive space opens onto a small landscaped backgarden. The bijou yard is described by Hamptons as an unexpected haven with exotic planting ... but of greater interest is that it contains an indulgent hot-tub and of all things an outdoor telly with overhead canopy. Amazin and it thereby offers complete privacy from the prying eyes of nosey neigbours …. The mind boggles at what stories that tub could tell…..
